Hummus Among Us

Pull up a chair and grab some crudites and cracker because we are going to be talking about everyone's favorite big, fat, Greek dip! I love, Love, LOVE hummus of all kinds but one kind in particular holds my little curly tongue hostage. I rave about it to everyone all the time. Even when I'm trying to talk about something else (like in this larabar video review), this food of the Greek gods creeps in.

Get thee to Trader Joe's!

I had quite a few questions about my party so I thought I'd clear them up here:

-The vegan chocolate mint cookies are a veganized version of a TOP SECRET family recipe and I have been sworn to secrecy by the elder generations. Countless girlfriends have offered up their firstborns in an effort to secure the coveted recipe. But to no avail. Sorry! Maybe I'll make some for a givaway... ;P

-The cookie packaging was also my design. The guests' initials were printed on one side and I did a little sketch on the other.

-The dress I wore was from Anthropologie and I do believe it's my favorite clothing item at the moment. I probably wear it at least once a week. See it in action here and here.

-I blogged about my Gingerbread House Decorating/Ice skating extravaganza Christmas party here.

Enjoy my darling bloggigans!

With Love,

Emily

I LOVE HUMMUS I practically eat it every day, even if it's just in a sandwich. Unfortunately there's no Trader Joe's in the UK and I haven't seen that many varieties.

Hello Miss Curly Top!

Thanks for reading my blog.. love getting to know other bloggers! :-)

In regards to your question, my first batch of blondies are perfectly shaped because I used my Calphalon Bar Pan (link - http://www.target.com/Kitchen-Essentials-Calphalon-Bar-Pan/dp/B001CEYZHC/sr=1-1/qid=1241893995/ref=sr_1_1/175-3234152-6376310?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&index=target&rh=k%3Abar%20pan&page=1) that I got from Target.

Thanks for that video on hummus and you have a great Sunday, too!

Hummus award! xD

You're so cute.

I love hummus! But I haven't had it in so long... because of the whole... bread is evil thing... but I think I might start eating bread again soon, how else must I consume copious amounts of heavenly substances such as hummus and peanutbutter?

Give me a sign when you start giving away those cookies, cause I'm claiming them!

Love,

Tina

I love the title of this post, it made me smile ;)

Babaganoush is actually an eggplant dip/spread, I've never seen any that had chickpeas in it at all! Are there chickpeas in that one??

TJ eggplant hummus it is! Although there's not TJ near me... But it is still valuable information to have :-)

I love your video. You do a very good job of being entertaining, informative and down-right adorable.

You're too cute emily!

I'm pretty sure that babaganoush is like a dressed up eggplant dish.....haha! :) It sounds amazing though, and since it's almost midnight I'm not going to drive over to TJ's right now.....but I'm definitely picking up the eggplant kind asap because it sounds delicious!

Try Ellie Krieger's Edamame Hummus (yes, screw the TJ kind! sorry guys, it's chalky) http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krieger/edamame-hummus-recipe/index.html
I swear by it and the Cilantro Jalapeno, Spicy, and Tomato Basil hummus at good ol TJ's
